Onterio!

Friday Tyler and I took a trip to Ontario! This is like our second home (literally for Tyler, he grew up in Upland!) because its the closest place for us to get the best shopping! First we went to Ontario Mills, which I love for its humongous H&M and J.Crew outlet, among other awesome stores like the Abercrombie and Nike outlets. We then went over to Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucomonga for more shopping and CHEESECAKE!

Tyler and I have a serious Cheesecake Factory addiction. We've been to at least 7 different ones throughout California and I can't even count how many times we've been to the Victoria Gardens one. 210 menu items and neither of us have had a dish we didn't love!

Heres the cheesecake case that taunts you as you wait for a seat

My personal favorite has always been the Chocolate chip cookie dough cheesecake. It has
cookie dough swirled in!

See the calorie count?? It doesn't really matter because you'll justify eating the whole delicious slice anyway! I think the red velvet slice is somewhere around 1500 a slice!! For the dinner part, I had the Shrimp Franchese (fran-cheese-ee, not franchise like I said to my waiter "/) which had shrimp, artichokes, tomatoes, shallots, with pasta in a whitewine and garlic sauce.

It was so good that I ate half and said "Omg i should have taken a picture!" Tyler ate his tomato basil pasta before I could snap a photo, but he said he really liked it! We tried the vanilla bean
cheesecake this time, which is plain cheesecake with a vanilla bean mousse.

It was really good, and not a bajillion calories like most of the cheesecakes! I had my own pictures of our piece, but they all had a fork in it because someone couldn't wait a few seconds to eat his cheesecake! I think the Cheesecake Factory is the best place you could take someone to dinner. There's no way you can go wrong with 210 menu items, and comeon, CHEEEESECAKE!

Trip to Los Angeles

Last Saturday Tyler and I drove up to Los Angeles for the day. We started at the Norton Simon museum in Pasadena for his Art and World Religions classes, then spent the rest of the day shopping and eating! We parked at the Grove on Fairfax and walked up W. Third Street to find a cafe to eat at. We settled down at Doughboy's and we were not disappointed! There were so many options to choose from that it took us forever to pick. Tyler started with a Cafe au lait and ordered the Beefy Mac and Cheese, which was basically the best Hamburger Helper you've ever had.

I got the spinach, goat cheese, and sun dried tomato pesto pizza which was delicious!

We then walked down Fairfax with full stomachs to Flight Club, a.k.a. Tyler's shoe heaven. It's an unmarked store that's wall-to-wall with the latest and rarest sneakers of every kind.

After shopping at the farmer's market, The Grove, Beverly Center, and Melrose, we went to the 8oz. Burger bar on Melrose to celebrate Tyler's 20th birthday. This place is AMAZING! The meat they use is all humanely raised and hormone-free, and they focus on using local and organic produce, always a plus! Here's my burger:

Fried mozzarella, house blend of sirloin, tri-tip, short rib, and chuck patty, house cured bacon, balsamic grilled red onions, and wild baby arugula. YUMMMMMM! Sweet potato chips w/ sea salt took my taste buds over the moon.

All in all, an amazing day. I love Los Angeles because we can always find something new and exciting there to do. Can't wait to go back!

I've created a blog! I decided to create this blog because I love food and I need an outlet! My family's food creativity level can be very lackluster, so I feel like I find all of these great recipes and restaurants and have no one to share them with! This blog will be about my whole life, from my frustrations of being stuck in a small town junior college to my drug-dealing tales in my job at CVS/pharmacy, but mostly about food!
